🔼 Preseason Praise. With less than two weeks remaining until tip-off of the 2026-27 regular season, both Troy hoops programs earned top-three spots in the preseason polls and a pair of Trojans were honored with spots on the Sun Belt Conference Preseason teams.
On the men’s side, Troy was picked to finish third in the league and Jacoi Hutchinson earning Preseason All-Sun Belt Third Team honors. Troy's third-place selection in the preseason poll marks the program's third consecutive top-five finish in the preseason rankings.
Hutchinson, a fourth-year guard, enters his first season at Troy after transferring from Longwood. He averaged 12.3 points, 3.2 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game last season. The Laurel, Md., native led the Big South Conference in free throw percentage, converting 86.2 percent of his attempts (100-of-116), which ranked 67th nationally.
For the women, the Trojans were picked second and newcomer Aniya Hubbard was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team.
Hubbard came to Troy after a two-year stint at Florida Atlantic, where she earned the 2022-23 C-USA Freshman of the Year, All-Conference Second Team, All-Defensive Team and All-Freshman Team honors.
🔼 Salute To Service. The Troy football squad is set to return home this weekend for its annual Military Appreciation Game.
The Trojans are set to square off with ULM at Veterans Memorial Stadium in a critical Sun Belt matchup for both squads.
Fans are asked to join Troy Athletics and the stadium gameday staff, who will wear Troy-branded patriotic apparel.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
