🔼 Two Winners. For the first time since 2013, the Troy cross country program secured Sun Belt Conference Runners of the Week awards, sweeping the men's and women's via Keith Warner and Alexiana Hinote for their performances at the FSU XC Invitational. Warner returned to the course at the Apalachee Regional Park for the first time since Sept. 13 and dominated the men's side by placing 24th. Hinote couldn't ask for a better start to her Troy career as she finishes as the No. 1 Trojan for the fourth straight meet, accumulating three top-30s and one top-10.
🔼 Home At Last. For the first time in three weeks, Troy volleyball is back in Trojan Arena as it welcomes Louisiana for a pair of matches on Friday and Saturday. Troy is coming off a four-match road trip that included two matches at Texas State and Georgia Southern. The Trojan offense this season continues to utilize a two-setter system highlighted by Janelle Stuempfig and Jordan Sinness. The duo has helped lead Troy to a strong 12.42 kills per set, which is seventh in the Sun Belt.
🔼 More Fall Ball. Troy softball prepares for a two-game weekend that includes one at the Troy Softball Complex against Snead on Friday before hitting the road to Shirley Clements Mewborn Field for Georgia Tech.
🗣️ "We play these games to bring out resiliency and grit. We play to get better and learn from mistakes. It's important to show these girls that we are at the highest level and must continue improving and getting better. We need to strive for more.” - Eric Newell
🔼 Meeting with the Media. Troy women’s basketball head coach Chanda Rigby took over the microphone at SBC Media Day to discuss her team for the upcoming season. Hear what Coach Rigby had to say to the media ahead of the team’s season-opener on Nov. 4 against Buffalo.
Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is Troy men’s golfer, Jake Springer. The senior was been named the Sun Belt Men's Golfer of the Week after claiming individual medalist honors earlier this week at the Everett Buick GMC Classic after shooting a 12-under 204. Springer carded seven birdies and 11 pars during his round of 65 to close out the tournament, which was just one shot off the program record.
