🔼 Country’s Finest. And the accolades keep rolling in for Tucker Kilcrease.
When you put up a performance like Kilcrease did in Saturday’s comeback win at Texas State, you’re going to earn some accolades.
Topping them all was Tuesday’s Davey O’Brient National QB of the Week honor that Kilcrease shared with Washington’s Demond Williams Jr.
Since the start of the fourth quarter at Buffalo (last nine quarters), Kilcrease has completed 52-of-76 passes for 709 yards and eight touchdowns, while rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
Additionally, his 10 passes of 20-plus yards in October are tied for the third most in the country, while his five passes of 30-plus yards are tied for the fourth most.
🔼 Dynamic Duo. Victoria Stutts and Constanza Quiroga both finished in the top-10 to pace the Troy women’s golf squad at Lady Red Wolves Classic at the Sage Meadows Country Club.
Stutts tied for sixth individually at 3-under for the week after a 69 in Monday's second round, while Quiroga tied for 10th at 2-under after shooting under-par in each of the first two rounds, her second and third rounds in the red this season.
Troy carded 42 birdies as a team, tied for second in the field, behind ULM's 50.
🔼 Pair To Praise. When you when a thriller on the road in OT, you’re going to turn some heads.
The Troy football team did exactly that with Trojan quarterback Tucker Kilcrease and kicker Paddy McAteer were named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
The two honors push Troy's total to five SBC Players of the Week for the season, the most in the league.
Kilcrease completed 30-of-39 passes for 415 yards and five touchdowns as he helped lead Troy rally from deficits of 21-0 and 28-7 to defeat the Bobcats, 48-41, in overtime.
McAteer, a native of Mullaghbawn, Ireland, played a significant role in Troy's comeback with a record-setting field goal and stealing a possession back with an onside kick.

The Troy baseball team is dialing up their fall ball and have two exhibition contests on the docket for Oct. 25 (at Kennesaw State) and Nov. 9 (vs. Samford at Rickwood Field).

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is, junior kicker Paddy McAteer. The Ireland native was huge in Troy's comeback win at Texas State with a record-setting field goal and converting an onside kick. After the Troy offense completed passes of 19 and 18 yards with less than 90 seconds remaining in the first half, McAteer boomed a 53-yard field goal, the first of his career, as time expired on the opening half.
