Good morning! Basketball season is just around the corner, and Trojan men’s hoops are focused on the grind ahead of their home opener on November 4.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Left It All Out There. After day three of the ITA Southern Regional, the Troy women's tennis program wrapped up its outing in Auburn, Alabama. The Trojans entered Saturday with two players remaining in the main draw: Maria Guirguis and Leena Metwally. Both Trojans faced SEC programs in round two and both fought hard but fell in two sets, eliminating Troy from contention in the main draw. The Trojans await the Scarlet and Black Open in Jonesboro, Ark. from Oct. 25-27 with two tournaments remaining.

🔼 ‘Til The End. Troy volleyball battled hard and had a resilient showing but it wasn't enough, as Georgia Southern came away with a 3-2 win against the Trojans on Friday night. The team had a solid offensive night but could not overcome its 20 service errors and a tough Georgia Southern (14-1, 4-0 SBC) team. Tori Hester recorded a match-high 22 kills and finished the two-match series in Statesboro with 42 total kills, reaching the 1,500th kill milestone.

🔼 All About Execution. The Troy cross country program secured 13 personal bests and seven top-50 finishes to secure fifth (men) and sixth (women) in the FSU XC Invitational on Friday. Keith Warner returned dominantly by topping the men's side again with a top-25 finish while the women’s team featured Alexiana Hinote who finished 28th in the 5k with a new personal best.

🔼 Back At It. Following a three-week break, the Troy men's golf team returns to action this week at the Everett Buick GMC Classic, hosted by Little Rock. The Trojans are coming off a middle-of-the-pack finish at the Graeme McDowell Invitational their last time out after winning the Argent Financial Classic to open the season. Troy enters its third tournament of the year with a 21-6-1 head-to-head record through its first two events.

🔼 Back At It, Pt. II. Both Trojan golf programs will be in action to begin the week as Troy women’s golf hits the links for the fourth time this fall with a trip to the Sage Meadows Country Club for the Lady Red Wolves Classic. The Trojans are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Pirate Collegiate Classic two weeks ago in an event that was shortened to two rounds. Laura Fangmeyer enters the tournament with Troy's two rounds under par so far this fall, including a 2-under 70 to close out play at the Pirate Classic.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is Trojan Volleyball’s Olivia Kwiatkowski! The freshman outside hitter returned to the court for Troy for the first time since Sept. 3 at Auburn and put up an impressive performance with a career-high 16 kills on .542 hitting.
