🔼 The Return Of A Legend. The man who brought home the first two victories over South Alabama returns to The Vet this weekend.

Troy Athletics and the National Football Foundation will honor legendary Troy head coach Larry Blakeney during the Trojans' rivalry matchup against South Alabama this Saturday, Oct. 4, at The Vet ahead of Blakeney's induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.
 
The celebration for the all-time winningest coach in Troy and Sun Belt Conference history is in correlation with the NFF's On-Campus Salute for the upcoming members of the 2025 Hall of Fame Class. Kickoff between the Trojans and Jaguars is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
The first 2,500 fans in attendance for The Battle for the Belt will receive a free Larry Blakeney College Football Hall of Fame mini poster, and Blakeney will be recognized on the field during the first quarter, along with members from the NFF and presenting sponsor Fidelity.

🔼 Beach & Ball. Who doesn’t love a little trip to the beach? How about a beach trip & Trojan hoops?

That’s exactly what is on tap this November when the Trojans head to Ft. Myers, Fla. for the Coconut Hoops event.

This week, the matchups were announced as the reigning Sun Belt Champions will take on Toledo on Monday, Nov. 24th, followed by a matchup between either Belmont or Saint Francis on Wednesday, Nov. 26th.

🔼 Show Stopper. It was so nice the first time, Troy goalkeeper Taylor Richards thought she’d do it again.

For the second time in three weeks, Richards was named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week after after picking up her fourth shutout of the season against James Madison over the weekend. 

Richards was previously named the SBC's Defensive Player of the Week on September 16. She's the first player at Troy since Alissa Jones and Mikka Lewis in 2014 to win two Player of the Week awards in the same season.

He will be honored at Saturday’s game and in December, he will become the first-ever player or coach in Troy history or Sun Belt Conference (tenure came during SBC membership) history to enter the College Football Hall of Fame.
