🔼 The Big 5-0-0! Winning #500 is special. Doing so in dramatic come-from-behind fashion, is just plan unforgettable.

Trailing by 21 points with 44 seconds left in the second quarter, the Troy women's basketball program stormed back to defeat Marshall, 85-82, on Wednesday night in Huntington, West Va. to earn head coach Chanda Rigby's 500th collegiate victory.

The Trojans, who are 17-4 overall and 8-2 in league play jump to sole possession of third in the league standings.

Ashley Baez scored all 18 of her points in the second half with four 3-pointers, including the go-ahead three with 57 seconds left. Zay Dyer and Fortuna Ngnawo claimed double-doubles as Dyer finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Ngnawo had her fourth 20-plus point game (21) with 12 rebounds. Rachel Leggett scored all 10 of her points in the second half with a team-high three steals.

🔼 The Four Horseman. First pitch is just two weeks away for the Troy baseball squad and this week, a quartet of Trojans earned preseason accolades.

Led by first baseman Blake Cavill, who was named the league’s Preseason Player of the Year, four Trojans in total earned Preseason All-Sun Belt nods from Perfect Game. Joining Cavill was outfielder Steven Meier, catcher Jimmy Janicki, and shortstop Aaron Piasecki.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is, women’s basketball head coach Chanda Rigby, who claimed her 500th career collegiate coaching victory in Wednesday’s incredible comeback at Marshall. At Troy, Rigby currently has 272 wins and is just three away from passing Joyce Sorrell for the most in program history.
