Pettus, Patriots Earn Their Spot In This Year's Super Bowl

🔼 Super Bowl Bound. For five years, Dell Pettus thrilled the Troy crowds with stifling defensive play.
Now, Pettus is taking his talents to the biggest stage - Super Bowl LX.
Pettus, who is now in his second season with the Patriots, recorded a tackle for New England in a defense-filled battle with the Broncos on Sunday.
He is the 10th Troy alum to reach the Super Bowl all-time.
🔼 Drive To Five. The majority of the country may have been dealing with winter weather, but there was no cooling down the Troy men’s hoops team.
Thomas Dowd recorded his fourth consecutive double-double and Victor Valdes scored 20-plus points for the seventh time this season, as the Trojans Troy men's basketball earned a hard-fought 83–78 road victory over Georgia Southern on Saturday.
The win moved the Trojans to 8-1 in Sun Belt play - tops in the conference by two games. Troy has won five straight games for the second time this season and is 9-1 over its last 10 contests.
🔼 Bouncin’ Back. Now that’s how you respond!
After suffering a tough Sun Belt loss on Thursday, the Troy women’s hoops team responded in a major way on Saturday afternoon, dominating Georgia State, 96-69 to improve to 7-2 in league play.
Against her former team, Zay Dyer recorded her 12th double-double just three minutes into the second quarter, finishing with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Rachel Leggett added her first career double-double as a Trojan with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The South Alabama transfer shot 6-of-6 from the field to be the first Trojan to shoot 100 percent from the floor (min. 5 attempts) since Khila Morris last February.
🔼 Court Is In Session. The Troy tennis squads hit the courts this weekend, picking up a trio of victories.
The women battled their way to a hard-fought 4-3 win over Stetson on Sunday, while the men swept a pair of meeting with AUM on Friday afternoon.
