🔼 Big V. After playing a key role in two Troy wins, Victor Valdes was named Sun Belt Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. 

Valdes averaged 18.0 points, 8.5 assists, and 2.5 steals in blowout victories over Southern Miss and Arkansas State.

🔼 The Climb Continues. As Sun Belt conference play approaches the midway point, the always competitive league standings are once again a logjam.

Both Troy hoops program find themselves at the top of the league standings with 6-1 ledgers in conference action.

Tonight, the men hit the road to Virginia to battle Old Dominion, while the women return home to Trojan Arena in a Thursday evening showdown with Georgia Southern.

Both games are set to tip off at 6 p.m. CT.

Recently, Troy Football head coach Gerad Parker announced the addition of veteran strength and conditioning coach Ben Sowders as the Trojans' new director of strength and performance.

He joins Troy's staff following two seasons as the director of strength & conditioning at Arkansas.
