🔼 Masters Of The Arc. The Troy men’s basketball squad dialed it in from the arc en route to a dominant 90-70 road victory over Louisiana on Saturday

As a team, the Trojans knocked down 17 3-pointers in the win, the most in a game for Troy since Feb. 24, 2023.

Six different Trojans scored in double-figures led by Thomas Dowd, who finished with 15 points, while Cobi Campbell (12), Cooper Campbell (12), Victor Valdes (12), Kerrington Kiel (11) and Jerrell Bellamy (11) all finished in double-digits.

Through the first five games of the conference slate, Troy sits at 4-1 and is one of four teams with just one loss in league play.

🔼 Sweet Revenge. Not that anyone has been counting or anything, but it had been 308 days since the Troy women’s hoops team was eliminated by Arkansas State in the 2024-25 Sun Belt Conference Tournament. On Saturday, the Trojans responded with an emphatic 86-64 victory inside Trojan Arena.

Troy defeated one of the two remaining undefeated teams in league play (Marshall) and snapped the 12-game win streak for the Red Wolves.

Fortuna Ngnawo led Troy with her eighth double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. She tied fellow Trojan Zay Dyer for the most in the SBC. Off the bench, Kamesha Moore scored 10-plus points in her first career game with 11 points. Troy's bench outscored Arkansas State's 30-21 with the unit accounting for 30 points, 23 rebounds, six assists, two steals and three blocks.

Defensively, Troy held the No. 2-ranked team in the nation for 3-pointers made to just 23.1 percent from behind the arc.

🔼 Movin’ On. A pair of former Trojans took another step closer to the ultimate prize this past weekend as Dell Pettus (Patriots) and Javon Solomon (Bills) both advanced through the first round of the NFL playoffs.

Pettus had three tackles in the Patriots’ 16-3 stifling of the Chargers, while Solomon recorded a tackle in Buffalo’s thrilling 27-24 road win in Jacksonville.

Tonight, Jake Andrews and the Texans look to join his fellow Trojans in the next round when they battle the Pittsburgh Steelers in the final game of the opening round.

🔼 Earning Their Shot. Two members of the Troy football program over the past few years are competing to earn their shot at the next level this weekend in Fort Worth, Texas.

Ethan Conner and Peyton Higgins are among a select group of standouts who participated at the College Gridiron Showcase.

The College Gridiron Showcase is the first major all-star event of the postseason. Since its inception in 205, over 900 participants have been offered professional opportunities. It is the first all-star event to implement an OTA format.

Players participate in practices, a controlled scrimmage, and both individual and team drills. Meetings, interviews, and seminars are also a part of the event.
